VI COMMANDO

Prt. Alan Clemmitt, formerly of No.12 Commando, served with No.6 Troop of No.6 Commando.

Prt. Alan Clemmitt was seriously wounded whilst engaged upon a fighting patrol in Normandy (1944) unable to be evacuated back to his own lines he was captured by German forces. Once treated of his wounds he was interned as a Prisoner of War after September 1944
